- Children should ride in child safety seats (car seats and boosters) as long as possible, and until they property fit in an adult safety belt.
- The safety seat must meet federal safety standards and be installed property to prevent injury.
- Double check that you are using the safety seat correctly, by reading the manufacturer’s instructions and the motor vehicle owner’s manual. Follow the instructions carefully.
- Be sure and check the instruction manual for weight and height restrictions for each child safety seat.
- Children under age 13 should ride in the rear seat.
